Double Tap Marketing Ltd (“Double Tap“, “we“, “us“, “our“) is a provider of sales and marketing solutions (the “Services“). In providing the Services, we contact businesses in relation to the goods and services in which they may be interested. In particular, we want you to know by visiting our website no data is sold, rented or traded with any other company. However, we have provided the information below on when and why we collect a small portion of data, how we use it, the limited conditions under which we may disclose it to others and how we keep it secure.

Google Analytics

When someone visits https://doubletapmarketing.co.uk we use a third party service; Google Analytics, to collect standard internet log information and details of visitor behaviour patterns. We do this to find out things such as the number of visitors to the various parts of the site. This information is only processed in a way which does not identify anyone. We do not make, and do not allow Google to make, any attempt to find out the identities of those visiting our website.

Information collected for marketing purposes

The information we collect about individuals is always business-related information – such as name, contact details and role. This information is either provided to us directly by the business, provided to us from our customers, or collected by us from third parties.

In order to maintain compliance with the GDPR, a full LIA (legitimate Interests Assessment) is completed and reviewed per marketing campaign based on the ICO recommended guidance.

Newsletters and emails

As part of the registration process for our e-newsletter, we collect personal information. We use that information for a couple of reasons to tell you about things you’ve asked us to tell you about to contact you if we need to obtain or provide additional information to check our records are right to check every now and then that you’re happy and satisfied. We don’t trade email lists with other organisations and businesses.

We use one of the largest and most secure email delivery providers available to deliver our newsletter. We gather statistics around email opening and clicks using industry standard technologies to help us monitor and improve our e-newsletter. Use of personal information

In accordance with data protection laws, we will only process your personal data where we have a lawful basis for doing so. In respect of your personal data, these bases are:

  • where you have given your consent;
  • where it is in our (or a third party’s) legitimate interests to process your personal data, provided that none of these prejudice your own fundamental rights or freedoms.

 

Primarily, Double Tap collects, receives and process personal data of individuals in a business context to contact them about goods and services in which their business may be interested. This information is processed by Double Tap in accordance with its (and its customer’s) legitimate interests.

Specifically, the following are a list of the purposes for which we process your personal data, and the lawful basis on which we carry out such processing:

Other parties

We store all data within our CRM provider who also strictly adhere to the GDPR and use an email delivery provider to send emails. The data is secured behind state of the art firewalls and put through periodic vulnerability stress checks.

Given that the Internet is a global environment, using it to collect and process personal data necessarily involves the transmission of data on an international basis. This means for instance that data you pass to us may be processed outside the European Economic Area (such as the USA regarding Microsoft Office being used), although we will always take all reasonable steps to ensure adequate measures are in place to keep your data secure in line with the requirements of UK data protection legislation (including by putting in place European Commission-approved standard contractual clauses or by transferring personal data to jurisdictions which the European Commission recognises as providing adequate protection, such to the USA, if companies are signed up to the Privacy Shield scheme).

Retention

We will only retain your data for as long as is necessary in accordance with the purposes set out in this Privacy Policy, and in any event no longer than three years from last contact.

Please note that if you opt-out of any marketing we will retain a record of your data to ensure that you do not receive any future marketing.

Amendments

Please note that this Privacy Policy is subject to change from time to time. It was last reviewed in May 2018.
